Lavaille is a distinguished publisher, author and editor with a remarkable career in education, production, and social entrepreneurship.

Her recent publishing triumphs include the NY Times Best Seller “Finding Me” by Viola Davis and “Shut Up And Listen” by Tilman Fertitta. As the Publisher and Managing Partner at One Street Books, Lavette Books, JVL-Media, and Novitatis Publishing, she continues to shape the literary landscape.

With a Master’s in Education, Lavaille’s diverse professional journey has seen her as an investment broker, school teacher, school district administrator, speechwriter, marketing executive, and special advisor to former US Secretary of Education, Dr. Rod Paige (US Department of Education 2001 – 2005).

Over the past 15 years, Lavaille has harnessed her branding, merchandising, and sales expertise to successfully manage numerous business ventures in partnership with renowned celebrities and athletes across various industries, including publishing, aviation, food, retail, and sports.

Lavaille’s latest literary accomplishments include the Penguin Random House Little Golden Book Series, “Jayylen,” (Jayylen.com) and her best-selling children’s book series, “Steve Harvey Presents The Adventures of Roopster Roux” and “The Adventures of Roopster Roux Sports Series.” These series have received widespread acclaim across the USA.

Alongside her business partners, Lavaille pioneered the first-ever convenience store/gas station with a literacy purpose, based on her Roopster Roux Book Series, at Therouxstore.com and Roopsterroux.com.

Lavaille was not only a Founding Board Member but also the first President of the Luanda Africa Sister City Association. She actively participates in several international charitable initiatives.

Beyond her influential presence in publishing, community engagement, nonprofits, and marketing, Lavaille co-founded “Every Child An Author” (ECAA), a visionary initiative on a mission to empower every child in America to become a published author, one grade level at a time (everychildanauthor.com).

In her leisure time, Lavaille enjoys skateboarding, indulging in culinary pursuits, and cherishing moments with her husband John, family, and friends.
